Hey y’all. Where the hell ya been? Don’t tell me, its you, not me. I know. Its OK. But here we are right? Why not look on the bright side 😉
So I guess it starts like a week + ago. I won tickets again to see another musical. I seriously don’t know how I keep winning this lottery thing, but I think I have a theory. The lottery opens at 9:00 AM, and I think they pull the first X people per hour or something like that (just a guess.) I say this because I have won 9/10 when I apply either right at 9:00 AM or on the hour until the drawing closes. I have also won when applying right at the last minute. So who the heck knows. But this time I won tickets to see SIX!

SO. This musical was here in Chicago before Broadway (After London.) It was here for a LONG time, and yet, I never went to see it. It was my bad. So I was excited for this. I have heard the soundtrack (I mean, I am gay) and so I was excited for a few specific numbers. AND LEMME TELL YOU!!!
These ladies slayed. One or two might of even lost their heads. I was in the first few rows and saw it all, and it was SO DAMN GOOD. Like, I cannot say enough about this musical. What is even better? I think people who can’t stand musicals could stand this because its only 80 minutes long, and there is no intermission. It starts, you get a hell of a show, and boom its over. I do have favorites. Ann of Cleaves and Ann Bolyn! They absoultly smashed their parts.
Since then what else. Its been pretty quiet. I’ve been trying to focus on work. Last week I had to do 6 storytimes for kids under 5 and it almost killed me. I swear I was sick for a few days after because of it. I also said “itty bitty titty” instead of “itty bitty teenie weenie.” One mom caught it and laughed and I wanted to die on the spot. But hey, it was 10 AM on a Friday and I was in weekend mode?
I took a picture sometime last week and I love it. So I am going to show it to y’all.

That was taken from steps of my porch. A. I am blessed to be able to have a home, for that I am super greatful. B. Isn’t this pretty? I live in a village that is designated an arboretum because of how many trees there are. No matter what the season is, it is pretty, but the spring is extra so because of the colors. Also, being surrounded by houses where people have $$ (not me, I lucked out on this house and and awesome seller! we broke like the rest of America.)
I have 2 more things and then I gotta go. Ok the first one is going to be about a movie I saw. It is called Sordid Lives, and I may be late to the game, but THIS SHIT WAS MY JAM! Can we talk about how each family can probably recognize someone from that film? Now it isn’t winning an Oscar, but damn if I wasn’t laughing. Brother Boy? Sissy? The names alone sold me. Having grown up in a neighborhood that wasn’t the umm…. most…cultured? Lol. White Trash Alert! And it reminded me so much of growing up in that neighborhood. And Leslie Jordan?! If you squint your eyes, and stand in just the right spot, you’d swear he was Tammy Wynett! And when he is getting “cured”? Holy balls.

If you get the chance, check it out. It is quite funny. If you are a mo’ and had issues coming out of the closet, it will tickle you as well.
I think we are all pretty much caught up at this point. I have one last thing I want to say before I go. And also, this time, I promise I will come back sooner than a week+. OK, so a few years ago I bought a fish tank, plants, fish, the whole shebang because I was going to be an “aquascaper,” or someone who designs pretty natural looking fishtanks. Well after it sat collecting dust for a year or so (RIP to the those first fish / plants) I decided to start again.
So a few months ago, maybe the end of March, I filled the tank. I have a place that I started to go to where the owner is really nice and super smart when it comes to fish. I went there and bought a bunch of plants. I knew that I wanted to have something where the lil ones could hide / swim around in. I came home and planted it. I have then cycled it since. Changing out the water every week or so. And then this past weekend I decided to get fish.
I actually did a LOT of research. Probably too much. I ended up deciding on guppies and corydora catfish. They are able to get along well together. So I went to the store and there was one tank where there was only 3 fish in it, and I felt bad so I bought all of them. These types of fish need to be in schools and 3 is too small. So boop, mine. I then got some “Tequila Sunrise” guppies and Fancy Guppies. The fancy ones are white, 1/2 Black 1/2 Yellow, Silver and Black, and then Yellow / White. The cory catfish are green cory catfish. They are the ones who scurry around the bottom eating whatever.

They took SWIMMINGLY to their new home. I think my tank came out quite nice. My plants really took off. I’ve had to trim the grass a few times because it won’t stop growing. I hope that I am able to keep this tank up. It is really calming to look at. The cory catfish, which you can’t see, but they are lil cuties, like to play in the water stream. They “fight” it and then swim back around to do it all over again. I love them, they are my fishies, and they is good fishies.
I hope that you all have been taking care of yourselves. Both mentally and physically. Make sure to take a moment for yourself to step back and just relax. Clear your mind and take deep breaths. And you know what, if you want that cookie, fuckin eat it. I took a bath this weekend and ate a tray of nachos, so who the hell cares.

Live your life, you only get one.
Remember that if nobody had told you yet today, YOU are AMAZING! Don’t forget it. If nobody has told you they love you, I do. Have an amazing night ya’ll.
