Hey y’all. It’s me! Your favorite crazy. Tis I, Jordan. How have you been these past few days? The freaking sun came out, can you even believe it?! We got a damn break and I can’t me more excited. As much as I love winter, I am really glad we are finally getting a break from the gloom.

Nick and I went to see the new Doctor Strange movie….. and y’all…I was not prepared at all for what I saw

I was terrified. Elizabeth Olsen did something that touched a fear inside me. The power she has is incredible. The things a mother would do for her kids is real. Ha, funny I’m posting this on mothers day. But if you get the chance, I would say to see it.

I had to work yesterday (Saturday) and it isn’t horrible. We each have to work one Saturday a month so I’m used to it by now. But it was the first nice day and I had to get out. So I went on a little walk and saw a heron sitting on the back and it was just chilling. It brought me a bit of inner peace for a moment. Thought I’d share a picture of him. When he flew away it reminded me that I need to spread my wings and get out more.

Nick and I are going to build a teardrop trailer soon. He told me he was interested so I bought him a book…. little did I know he bought the trailer base and it magically showed up in our garage on day. So we have started making plans and we all see how this goes!!!

Today is mother’s day. My mom always asks to have us pretend she doesn’t exist. She said no calls, don’t visit, she wants the day to herself. So around 11 she calls me asking why I didn’t call…. mmmmhmmmm….Dawny-Do sure does love me and she can’t admit it!

I ended up going to a fun lunch with my in-laws for mother’s day. My mother in law has a birthday later this week so it was a dual get together. It’s at this cute place in St. Charles called Arcada Speakeasy. We had a nice Italian lunch while this awesome cabaret singer guy crooned in the background. After we left, we came home and I have been lounging about since.

But. Before I leave for the night, I wanted to share this cool cake I saw. I had to get coffee before the in-laws, because, reasons, and I saw this.

How awesome is that?! I want this so bad, or I want to make my own version of it. It looks so good.
