Howdy y’all!!! I hope everyone is having an excellent Monday. I know that I am. Why? Who the heck knows. I went to sleep last night repeating the intentions of a positive day, and boom, it happens! Thank you blood moon.

How have y’all been? Good? It has been a week. Ok so I haven’t written since Wednesday. I really need to get on this every other day shit, like for real. I have everything that I want to say / put down on paper and yet I don’t want to actually type it out. I have a level of laziness that is comfortable, and I don’t want to do anymore than I absolutely need to.

Wednesday was a bore. I didn’t get to / have to kick anyone out. Everyone who showed up for the History of the Autoshow was there for the program. I actually liked it. It was more about the types of cars introduced and how the autoshow was put on. I liked that they used to have chorus folks sing and dance and then they would introduce a new car. I want them to bring that back.

Friday….well… I had fun. So I do outdoor storytimes for my job. Friday, it was hot. I had previously asked my employer if I could wear a kilt. I know. I am basically asking for someone to say something to me, but I don’t care. I 1000000% hate the heat. Hate it. Once you are naked, you can’t take anything else off, and you are still hot. Cold is the opposite. So please winter, start early this year! So after sweating my ass off doing an outdoor storytime I ended up going home and changing into a kilt.

I love my legs. I have a lot of tattoos, and my calves look amazing. I really didn’t get any shit from anyone, staff nor patron. I thought I would hear something, but no. I did get some stares from the 12-14 year old boys, but who the hell cares. Clothing is literally clothing. I don’t care what y’all wear as long as it covers you up and you feel good in it. Clothing has no gender people!!!

Saturday I finally went to visit my parents after not having seen them for over a month. They live in a town about an hour away from where I live, out in the country. We ended up driving out to go to a greenhouse / nursery thing. It was the biggest freaking place I have ever seen devoted to plants, there were WAY to many people, and plants are expensive.

This is just a shot…. it is acres and acres of space, inside and out, because of course they sell trees and shrubs and shit. It was crazy. I ended up spending about $75.00 on plants, which is nothing (people in front of us, 2 carts of flowers – $1,100.00, I almost shit. I have no idea how people spend that much money on a plant, its crazy.

The good news is that the plant place is a 5 min drive down the road from my parents. So after flower world, we went there. I made friends with some ducks.

The ducks did not want to be my friend no matter how much I tried to call them and give them free food. So clearly, they need to go. I did however get greeted by 4 barn cats who would not leave me alone. I found chicken eggs in a cat bed in the barn, brought those in. My parents got about 20 chickens and the night before we came out, a racoon ate 13 of them. Poor babies, but that is farm life. My parent’s don’t bat an eye.

So Nick and I came home, and we cleaned up a bit. I am so tired of cleaning. I feel like 1/2 my weekend is spent just cleaning. Having 2 dogs and a cat. I get it, we have animals. Clove (our husky) really needs to not shed. I refuse to shave her because if you do, their hair doesn’t grow back right. But it is soooo tempting.

Sunday we ended up staying in and focusing on our plants. Now…. I may or may have gone a little crazy when it comes to what we got. I got the following:

• Sugar Snap Peas
• Brussel Sprouts
• Poblano Pepper Plant
• Catnip for the kitty
• Rosemary
• Chives
• Tri-colored Sage
• Thyme
• Greek Oregano
• Tiny Seedless Watermelons
• Flatleaf Parsley
• Black Cherry Begonias
• Bolero and Safari Marigolds

We planted it ALLLLLLL. I was so covered in dirt and grime by the time the day was over that I was disgusted with myself. I hate to sweat, I hate getting dirty, and this was all of the above. But hey, we got it done. I hope that these plants pan out because I would love to eat what I grow. Nick has asparagus and horse raddish planted already, so that stuff if harvestable. I can’t wait for these greens. I love food. I really do. Hate making it, but love to eat it.

I had a lot of fun planting, but it is work, and I hate it. After that, Nick and I were going to light a fire, but that was work, and we were both exhausted from cleaning and gardening that i didn’t care. We watched a few episodes of The Flight Attendant and passed the heck out.

Today is Monday!!! I love Mondays because it is the chance to start anew all over again. It happens every week, every day. I am taking this next few weeks by the horns. I want to get a lot done and be super productive. My husbands birthday is coming up, and I need to do something for him. We shall see what ends up happening!
