I haven’t been here in a little long while. I pay for it. Damn, I might as well use it ya know? I originally wanted to use this as a kind of personal diary. To write down my daily thoughts, what I did, the usual, ya know? I don’t know where I decided to stop. Or why for that matter.

What has been going on with me? Well a lot. I mean fuck, its been over 2 years since my last post. But, we aren’t going to go through everything. Highlights? Sure. Let’s see….

February 2024 we went to California to celebrate my birthday. I personally had never been before, while Nick had been multuple times on his way to Hawaii (must be realllll nice.) We went to Santa Monica Pier, Beetle House, and my personal favorite, The Museum of Jurassic Technology. The weirdest, in the best possible way, place that I have been to in ages. We also went to Disneyland of course. Sweethearts Night was a special night we went to, I even made us personalized hoodies! It rained every single day of our Disney trip. Did I care? Hell no. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is 100% worth the hype. Increidicoaster while being pelted by freezing rain, why not? Don’t let a lil rain drown out the rest of your fun.

The Lord of the Rings Musical (Take me to the Shire!!!)
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Loved, Gay, Can’t figure how they did it, saw it 2x)

We also went to the Illinois State Fair. That was fun, exhausting, boring, all at the same time. I always wanted to go to a state fair, I am glad I was able to go, but do I need to go again? No. I did love camping in the Springfield area, that was worth it. We also went camping at a gay only campground in Michigan. That was an experience. It was fun, not what I thought it would be, will go back for sure.

I also did a ton at work in 2024. I really took over our makerspace within the library. I am now officially the coordinator for the space. I led a ton of programs. From lantern making, sewing projects, engraved cuttings boards, laser cutting flowers, ornaments, tiles! I really enjoy my job. I get to basically craft almost every day. I get to encourage people to think outside of their comfort zone and experiment with new technologies. I get to teach classes which I miss from my corporate training days.

This is just the major things I find interesting at the moment. I am also 100% over typing so I am going to take my a$$ to bed. I promise to write more going forward. I am trying to step back from social media, so hopefully I put more time and effort into this lil blog thinggy.
